Interactive Desk Scene: 4 Objects & Dynamic Interactions

Tired of corporate sites?? Build an interactive desk experience with me!

About the Project:

Deskverse is designed as an antidote to the doomscroll internet. It's a virtual desk where users can click around and discover surprises, including sounds, animations, and moments to pause. I'm looking to design a space that feels calm, human, and rewards curiosity. No tracking, no algorithms, no anxiety. Just a space to explore and breathe.

I'm looking for a developer to help bring V1 to life!

What You'll Build:

  • Interactive V1 desk scene in Webflow featuring 4 clickable objects (others added as needed)

  • Each object will trigger unique interactions (sounds, animations, pop-ups) - we'll collaborate on the specific interactions

  • Interaction sequences with logic: Some objects will have storylines or flows (e.g., if you click X then Y happens, which unlocks Z)

  • Objects will have multiple states (e.g., monitor boots up → shows clickable icons → can be turned off)

  • Mobile-responsive design

What's Already Done:

  • Domain and Webflow site are set up

  • Desk and background assets, plus 4 objects, are designed and sized

Required Skills:

  • Strong Webflow experience (this is the primary platform)

  • JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 for interactive elements

  • Ability to track dev changes in Monday.com

  • A collaborative approach

  • Photoshop for asset adjustments

  • Animation experience helpful

  • An aesthetic sensibility for whimsical and delightful interactions

Project Details:

Timeline: Start immediately, ~4-6 weeks for V1

Commitment: ~5-10 hours/week, with potential for ongoing work as we add new objects and update interactions

Working Style:

  • Quick onboarding huddle to align on vision and vibe

  • Check-ins with progress updates

  • Share progress via staging links so I can test and give feedback as we build

  • Organized: clear naming conventions and documentation as you go

  • This is not an e-commerce site, not a corporate website, and not a standard landing page. This is a passion project, so I'm looking for someone who gets excited about building creative internet spaces!

To apply please share:

  • Portfolio/examples of Webflow projects (especially interactive ones)

  • Your approach to naming conventions and project organization

  • Availability to start and general weekly schedule

  • A sentence or two about why this project interests you
