Lead Developer for SaaS Migration and Branding

We are a rapidly scaling SaaS business initiating a strategic migration from our existing WordPress infrastructure to a highly scalable Webflow platform. This project requires an experienced Webflow expert to serve as the lead developer.

The engagement will begin with a mandatory paid technical trial to vet the candidate's proficiency in applying our branding system and adhering to our architectural standards before commencement of the full project scope. The successful completion of this trial will lead directly to the full project contract.

The core objective is not a custom build, but the architectural integration of an existing, approved branding system onto one of three chosen premium Webflow templates (sourced from Tier 1 designers). Success requires mandatory adherence to the modular Client-First methodology and establishing a clean architecture for future expansion using the Relume component library.

Phase 1: Paid Technical Trial (Mandatory Screening)

The goal of this paid trial is to evaluate the candidate's specific expertise in design system application, architectural adherence, and content migration—the three critical skills for this project.

Trial Scope and Deliverable:

Template Selection and Branding Application: Select the agreed-upon template and apply our comprehensive corporate branding system (typography, color palettes, spacing, and utility styles) to one designated page template (e.g., the 'About Us' page or a specific 'Feature Detail' page).

Content Migration Proof of Concept: Transfer all corresponding content from the existing WordPress site for that single page into the newly styled Webflow template.

Architectural Compliance: Deliver a structure that clearly demonstrates adherence to the Client-First V2.1 class naming convention.

Phase 2: Full Project Scope (Contingent on Trial Success)

Upon successful completion of the paid trial, the full project will commence, covering the following responsibilities:

Full Branding Implementation: Complete the application of our corporate branding system across the entire selected premium template.

Full Content Migration: Transfer and structure all remaining site content (core pages, blog posts, static data) from our current WordPress environment into the new Webflow CMS.

Architectural Governance: Establish and adhere to the Client-First/Relume architecture for all necessary template modifications and custom sections, ensuring code remains scalable.

Quality Assurance (QA): Deliver a final site that is fully responsive, performs optimally, and meets Webflow’s internal standards for clean code, SEO, and accessibility (A11y).

Mandatory Skills and Experience

To qualify for this engagement, candidates must demonstrate proven experience in the following specialized areas:

Branding System Integration: Extensive portfolio experience demonstrating the ability to work directly from established corporate design systems (Figma, Sketch, etc.). The ability to strictly adhere to design system rules during the trial phase is crucial.

SaaS Industry Expertise: Minimum of 2+ years of experience building and migrating websites specifically for B2B or B2C SaaS platforms.

Webflow Architectural Governance (Client-First/Relume): Mandatory expertise in Finsweet’s Client-First methodology. Must be able to architect pages for efficient, modular growth using component libraries like Relume.

Content Migration Proficiency: Demonstrated success in migrating content and CMS structures from WordPress to the Webflow environment.
