Premium Editorial Directory Designer Needed

Project Description

We are building BALAM, a premium, editorial-style digital directory focused on local businesses, culture, and experiences.

The goal is to create a high-end Webflow website that feels curated, elegant, and timeless rather than noisy or over-commercial.

This project is frontend-only. Backend logic (subscriptions, admin tools, approvals) is handled separately by another developer. Your focus will be design, structure, UX, and Webflow implementation.

What we need

We’re looking for a Webflow expert / Web designer who can:

• Design and build a clean, premium, editorial website

• Structure pages and CMS collections clearly and logically

• Create a strong visual hierarchy and smooth user flow

• Implement refined animations and micro-interactions (nothing flashy)

• Ensure excellent mobile and responsive behavior

• Work with a predefined scope and evolve it thoughtfully

The website will start with one main location but must be structured to easily expand to multiple cities in the future, without redesigning the entire system.

Deliverables

• Homepage with strong editorial storytelling

• Listings page with categories and filters

• Individual listing detail pages

• Pricing / plans page

• Blog (editorial content) + article pages

• Static pages (About, Contact or similar)

• Webflow CMS fully structured and documented

• Clean, scalable Webflow project ready for backend integration

Skills required

• Strong experience with Webflow

• UI/UX design for premium or editorial websites

• CMS structuring and dynamic content

• Responsive design

• Attention to typography, spacing, and visual rhythm

• Ability to collaborate with a backend developer when needed

How we like to work

• Clear scope and expectations from the beginning

• Open, transparent communication

• Thoughtful feedback loops (quality over speed)

• Collaboration mindset: we value ideas, not just execution

• We’re interested in building an ongoing relationship, not a one-off task

If you enjoy crafting elegant digital products and working on projects with long-term vision, this is a great fit.
