Squarespace Migration Specialist with SEO Focus

Objective:

To migrate our website presence from Webflow to Squarespace, and ensure all traces of the old domain are removed or redirected correctly to the new one, preserving SEO integrity, functionality, and user experience.

Scope of Work

  1. Finalise New Domain on Squarespace

  • Connect and verify prestudios.co as the primary domain in our Squarespace website settings.

  • Ensure HTTPS/SSL is enabled and functioning.

  • Check all site links, navigation, image sources, and form actions to ensure no hardcoded links to webflow site remain.

  1. Clean and Disable Webflow Hosting

  • Backup/export the Webflow site structure (for URL reference).

  • Remove presalons.com and www.presalons.com from the Webflow project settings.

  • Turn off Webflow hosting entirely (once redirects are set up).

  1. Set Up 301 Redirects from old site to new site.

  • Implement 301 redirects to send all traffic from old website to new web.co, preserving URL paths.

  • For example: pre**.com/about to prest**.co/about

  1. Google Search Console Setup
  • Add and verify both domains (presalons.com and prestudios.co) in Google Search Console.

-Use the Change of Address tool to notify Google of the domain switch.

  • Submit the Squarespace sitemap: prest***.co/sitemap.xml
