CartGenie Migration Specialist for Nonprofit
I run a small nonprofit Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) study group in Columbus, Ohio. My website (www.OharaIkebanaColumbus.com
) was built in Webflow using the Ecommerce module, but I no longer need full Ecommerce and want to transition to CartGenie + Webflow CMS to simplify the site and reduce costs.
CartGenie recommended that I post this job and invite freelancers familiar with Webflow structure, CMS, and migrations.
What I Need Help With
This is a small, well-defined project:
- Migrate my Webflow Ecommerce setup to CartGenie
Use CartGenie’s import tool to migrate products, orders, and categories
Create new CMS collections for products/orders (since Webflow Ecommerce collections can’t be deleted)
Reconnect product pages using CartGenie templates or simple versions (I’m not picky)
- Safely downgrade Webflow from Ecommerce → CMS
Disable Webflow’s checkout
Remove any blockers preventing the downgrade
Ensure the site structure stays intact
I will change the Webflow plan after your guidance
- Verify the CartGenie checkout flow
I already use Stripe
Confirm that the full checkout process works smoothly
- Add a personalization field on class pages
“I will bring my own container / I will borrow one.”
This should appear on the product page and be recorded with the order.
- Add a “How did you hear about us?” field at checkout with a dropdown list of choices
This needs to appear in the checkout form and be stored with the order data.
Project Details
53 total products, only 9 active
539 orders (mostly past classes and two major event ticket sales)
5 categories
Archived products do not require redesign
Product page layout can be simple — perfection is not required
I’m comfortable editing content; I just need help with structural tasks, migration, and setup
Skills Needed
Strong Webflow CMS experience
Familiarity with CartGenie
Experience migrating from Webflow Ecommerce → CMS
Ability to work carefully within an existing live site
Communication & Working Style
I communicate clearly, respond quickly, and respect your time.
This is for a nonprofit, so budget matters, but I’m very easy to work with and open to simplifying the approach if needed.
Success means:
Webflow is successfully converted from Ecommerce to CMS
CartGenie is installed and functioning
Products, orders, and categories are migrated
Classes (a type of Product) have the personalization field
Checkout is live and working
Personalization + “How did you hear about us?” field is implemented smoothly
Looking forward to working with you!
