Nonprofit Web Designer
Hi! AddressHate is a nonprofit and interdisciplinary think tank working to expose and decode online hate, disinformation, and conspiracy thinking. We’re looking for a web designer to support web design needs on a project by project basis.
You’ll be working closely with our Creative Lead to develop and build requested designs. This role is execution focused, but may also include support with wireframes and design refinements as projects evolve.
What you’ll do
- Translate approved designs into clean, responsive web pages (Primarily in Webflow)
- Assist with wireframing and design support when needed
- Make layout and visual updates based on feedback
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Lead to stay aligned on goals and timelines
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with Webflow
- Experience with web animation
- Experience with other site builders (Wix, Squarespace, Wordpress, Shopify, etc.)
- Working knowledge of other website platforms
- Comfortable with HTML and CSS when needed
- Solid design fundamentals and attention to detail
- Able to take direction and execute clearly defined designs
Preferred tools and platforms
- Webflow
- Figma
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Adobe XD
Nice to have
- EST based is a plus!
- Experience working with nonprofits, research organizations, or mission driven teams
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices
Availability
- Project by project role, with up to 20 hours per week when active
