Front End Developer: HubSpot Form Styling
I need a front end developer who understands the limitations of styling native HTML select elements across browsers and can help me apply specific visual styles to a select field inside a Webflow project that uses a HubSpot embedded form.
Right now the select field itself is styled correctly, but the open options menu cannot match the design with my current CSS. I need someone who knows advanced CSS techniques and cross browser behavior for native selects and can help me get the options list as close as possible to the intended design.
In the attachments you will see how the select dropdown currently looks and how it needs to look. The goal is to match the typography, padding, spacing, borders, and selected state styling of each option as closely as native select limitations allow.
What I need
- Help applying the correct visual styles to the open options menu of a native select element
- Assistance with padding, border, background, font, and option alignment inside the dropdown
- Support with selected state styling including a custom check icon if possible
- Clear explanation of what is possible and what is not across Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge
- Light CSS or JS adjustments if needed, but no custom component rebuild
Requirements
- Strong understanding of cross browser select element styling
- Experience working with Webflow and embedded HubSpot forms
- Ability to get the native select as close as possible to a provided design
- Good communication to explain constraints and best solutions
If you have experience working around native select styling limitations and can help refine this part of the UI, please reach out. Attach examples of complex form styling you’ve handled before.
