3D Developer for Interactive Fixtures

Job Description

Project Overview: We are looking for a talented 3D Designer/Developer to create custom 3D assets for our Webflow website. We need a set of specific "household fixture" elements modeled from scratch and integrated into our site as interactive web experiences.

The Mission: You will be responsible for modeling, texturing, and animating three core fixtures: a light switch, a power outlet, and an air vent. These assets will serve as the visual foundation for our user interactions (e.g., clicking the switch to toggle dark mode, or hovering over the vent to trigger airflow motion).

Key Responsibilities:

3D Asset Creation: Model and texture high-quality, web-optimized 3D assets for:

Light Switch: Needs to be rigged/prepared for "On/Off" toggle states.

Power Outlet: Needs to look realistic/stylized (depending on our brand) and allow for plug interaction.

Air Vent: Needs to support air flow animation loops.

Spline/Lottie Workflow:

Build these scenes in Spline (preferred for real-time 3D interaction) or create rendered sequences for Lottie.

Ensure topology is clean and file sizes are low for fast web loading.

Webflow Integration: Import these assets into Webflow and set up the interactions (Scroll, Click, and Hover triggers).

Reusability: The assets must be created in a way that allows us to reuse them in different animations or sections of the site later.

Required Skills:

3D Modeling: Proficiency in Spline (preferred), Blender, or Cinema 4D.

Webflow: Experience with Interactions 2.0 and embedding 3D scenes.

Optimization: A strong portfolio showing high-fidelity 3D on the web that loads quickly (understanding of polygon counts and texture baking).

Animation: Experience animating mechanical objects (switches toggling, gears turning, etc.).

Deliverables:

Source files (Spline URL or .blend/.c4d files).

Final optimized assets embedded into our Webflow staging site.

Setup of interaction triggers (for ex., the switch actually toggles a class or state).

To Apply: Please start your proposal with "FIXTURES" and answer the following:

Which tool would you use to create the Light Switch for the web: Spline or a traditional 3D tool exported to Lottie? Why?

Share a link to a web project where you created the custom 3D assets yourself.
